The hybrid event was held in “Erinevate Tubade Klubi” and was sponsored by Simple Magic, Gamecan, Ringtail Studios, with the help of the Enterprise Estonia (EAS) project. The special price of the best Estonian game was won by Mister Morris Games for Haiku the Robot.
The physical event was attended by many local studios – Tall Troll Games, Crypto Rogue Games AB, Placeholder Gameworks, Mishura Games, Chaosmonger Studios, and many others. We even had an afterparty hosted by Simple Magic. Photos are by Kristina Chekholko.

Project goals: Mediating international contacts, acquiring the knowledge needed to compete in the global market, increasing export capacity through the creation of business-friendly contacts, participation in foreign trade fairs and the organization of business-oriented conferences, raising the field and market awareness, increasing the sustainability of companies and linking the potential in the creative economy with business through events focused on increasing the knowledge and experience necessary for business.

What is GDWC?
GDWC stands for the Game Development World Championship, which is an annual global competition for game developers of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. You’re welcome to submit your game whether you’re a professional developer, a hobbyist, a student, or just interested in game development in general.
When does GDWC happen?
GDWC is basically constantly running. The 2022 season submission period was from March 7th 2022 for a whole year, ended on February 28th 2023. GDWC 2022 culminated in an Awards Show in Tallinn, Estonia.

Why is GDWC organized?
To celebrate games and game developers from all over the world! We believe in new game developers and want to offer as many as possible a chance to showcase their games to a larger audience.
To ensure everyone can participate in the Championship, the submissions are completely free.
Our goal has been to form GDWC into a great opportunity for Game Developers to get visibility for their games and projects, and to motivate themselves to finish their games.
